Aletsch Arena

Mörel is the entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage region of Aletsch, which you can reach in just 12 minutes by cable car. The heart of the Aletsch Arena is the world-famous Aletsch Glacier, 20 km long, and the unique mountain panorama.

In summer, 300 kilometres of secured hiking trails await you in mostly untouched nature and with views of a multitude of four-thousand-metre peaks. If you like a breath of adventure, you can venture over suspension bridges, try out our mountain bike trails, or sign up for guided mountain or glacier tours. In addition, numerous lakes invite you to go for a walk, swim, or fish.

In winter, the Aletsch Arena offers you ideal winter sports conditions from December to April. The area stretches from Riederalp via Bettmeralp to Fiescheralp and offers a total of 104 kilometres of prepared pistes. Whether skiing, snowboarding, sledging, cross-country skiing or ski tours - everyone gets their money's worth here.

Both in summer and winter, numerous mountain restaurants invite you to linger.
